Award-Winning Itineraries

Each itinerary is thoroughly researched, scouted, and constantly updated to bring out the best and most authentic aspects of each region. Feedback from guests, guides, and the company’s personal visits, enhance each and every tour.

Itineraries are designed to reveal the incredible variety and scenic beauty of each region and these efforts show! In 2004, Outside Magazine awarded Ciclismo Classico: "Best European Trip" and Men's Journal recognized them for having one of the "Top 100 Trips on the Planet" for Bike Across Italy  II.

Virtuoso trip consultants help with hands-on trip planning and are able to answer such detailed questions as: where to study Italian, where are the most authentic restaurants in Florence or the best gelato in Positano? They can even help provide information on how to research roots or get fitted for a custom bicycle? Their attention to detail and ability to handle special requests is one of the many things that sets them apart from any other Bicycle Tour Company, and gives them the right to be called the “Italian Specialists”.

In addition to providing superior customer service guests will be matched with the perfect itinerary according to interests, ability level, and travel needs.

From ages 2 to 92, each guest is energized by their fellow traveling companions. Ciclismo Classico guests share a love for active outdoor life, cross-cultural learning and the group energy that blossoms on every Ciclismo tour.

Accommodations

Ciclismo Classico trips are classified into two groups: Premier and Classic. All trips are designed to provide the ultimate active travel experience, cultural immersion, lots of fun, and the absolute best value. This allows a way to delineate the tours whose accommodations and inclusions differ by type and quantity included.

Premier Trips

All the Premier trips include a selection of the best accommodations in the areas visited — mainly 4-star and/or 5-star properties — and the best first-class small hotels. Additionally, most dinners at superior or gourmet restaurants are included, along with plentiful excursions and educational explorations like walking tours, cultural or historical lectures, and private museum visits, wine tastings, and food tastings.

Classic Trips

Classic trips are designed with more intimate hotels and cozy inns, all of excellent quality. These trips are designed to offer the traveler more options for dinners and free time while maintaining the Ciclismo Classico standards: high-quality, the best cycling and hiking, authenticity, connection with locals, learning, and most of all, fun and rejuvenating travel.

Cuisine

The cuisine included, is delicious, abundant, flavorful, and is prepared by expert local chefs using only the freshest ingredients. Importance is placed in both, the quality, choice and availability of great food, and attention to detail when meals are prepared for guests. Special arrangements can be made for personal dietary requirements as well.
