| In the Heart of the World's Largest Valley |
| |
Wind Walker Guest Ranch lies in the heart of Utah, in the Sanpete Valley in the world's largest ancient juniper forest. This is the largest valley in the world surrounded by mountains on all four sides. Numerous eras of history have graced this area. They came to this valley because of an unspoken but understood draw, including Native Americans who worked and traded the vast resources, Spanish in search of hidden treasure, Mormon pioneers looking for a place to call home, Wild West Robin Hoods and present-day farmers and ranchers. Many have came to Sanpete Valley looking for something more than simply riches and solitude.
Those who have come and stayed, and those who have left, talk about the "something" that always beckons for their return. Could it be the 360 degrees of mountains surrounding the valley, the unparalleled breadth of wildlife, the simple life that calms the soul, or is it that this valley holds a sacredness for each individual who visits, that only the eye of the beholder knows?
Wind Walker Ranch is located halfway between Salt Lake and many of Utah's national parks. This ideal location means that Wind Walker guests enjoy all that Utah offers in an extraordinary atmosphere. Day trips include jaunts to Bryce, Zions, Arches, and Canyonlands National Parks. Overnight adventures include a horseback pack trip over the trail that brought the Spaniards and Indians into the Sanpete Valley. |
