Adventure Media is the brainchild of founder Nancy Harrison. Nancy only started adventuring at the age of 40 when she learned to ski, whitewater raft and horseback ride while living in Winter Park, Colorado. Moving to Wyoming gave her the opportunity to enjoy fly fishing, hiking and camping, sea kayaking, and many other nature-based activities. Adventure Media was formed in 1999. The Adventure Media Team includes several account managers and writers who support our clients with their special brand of enthusiasm.

Nancy has two grown children and four grandsons, all of whom enjoy the outdoors - fishing, hiking, camping, water sports and snow sports.

Nancy is a true Citizen of the West who has lived her entire life in the Rocky Mountain States. She has become an expert in her field of media relations and spends a good deal of her time each year teaching and lecturing on PR to groups such as The International Ecotourism Society, America Outdoors, the Adventure Travel World Summit and many state and regional conferences and international gatherings.

Travel is Nancy's passion, as you can see by these photos. She spends part of each year on spectacular trips with clients. Nancy visits as many clients as possible to learn about their destinations and trips. Her motto is, “If you’re not living on the edge; you’re taking up too much space!”

See you on the rivers and trails of the world.

Jim Steiner of Niwot, CO is a partner of Adventure Media. Jim founded and owned a successful manufacturing company in Southern California for 11 years. After selling the California business, Jim moved back to his childhood home in Colorado where he began his search for new business opportunities. Adventure Media appealed to Jim for a number of reasons. Most important were the similar values shared with Founder, Nancy Harrison which includes delivering good promotional value at a reasonable cost and the unique and varied clientele. Jim joined the team in April 2009. In his spare time, Jim enjoys skiing with his family, fly fishing and, of course, adventure travel.

Stephanie has an incurable case of wanderlust, and when she is not reading about travel, writing about it, or working with people in the travel industry, she is planning her next personal journey. Jessi Stafford is a Colorado native and fellow victim of the wanderlust that takes hold after a surprise bite from the travel bug. Since high school, she has spent summers backpacking in England, Spain, Hungary, Croatia, Czech Republic and Thailand, among others. She has a B.A. in Technical Journalism and Communications with a minor in English from Colorado State University. In college, when Jessi wasn’t experiencing the many corners of the world, she was ardently working at the daily student newspaper as the news managing editor. She was also a reporter at The Fort Collins Weekly and had an internship at United Way of Larimer County.

While her primary passion is adventure travel, writing plays a very close second. She also spends her free time reading, hiking, running, crafting, going to concerts, roaming book stores and spending time with friends and family. And, there will always be a special place in her heart for the Sunday New York Times, forever paired with a steaming cup of low-grade coffee (some college habits never die).

From a very early age Amy Williams knew two things: first, she would dive with great white sharks and second, she needed to travel the world. Travel genes flow through her DNA. As a child she watched her mother regularly return from world adventures and lovingly looked at photos of her grandparents cruising around Egypt on camels. She covered much of the United States before entering college and was then ready to take on the world.

Four years later she walked away from the University of California Santa Cruz with a B.A. in History of Art and Visual Culture and education in world traveling. Her travel genes finally propelled her to Kleinsbaai, South Africa and the realization of her first dream in 2008. Currently residing in Fort Collins, CO with her husband and pup, Amy looks forward to following where the wind will take her next.
