OCOTAL BEACH, NICARAGUA—Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge, one of Latin America’s most recognized and respected eco-tourism operations, this series will welcome Maya Fiennes, one of the U.K.’s premier Yoga instructors from May 6 to 15, 2009.

Entitled “Self Healing through Kundalini Yoga,” this seminar has been organized by Adrienne Ward, founder of BigWorldSmallPlanet retreats and will explore self-healing to induce strength of the immune system, vibrant health and abundant energy while building disease resistance.

Fiennes, a classical pianist and performer, has combined her talents with her upbeat personality to create a unique style of yoga and meditation. Well known for her popular BBC series “Bodies in Motion,” details of which can be found on her website www.mayaspace.com., her extensive collection of CDs feature many TV personalities including her colleague Deepak Chopra.

Her retreat will be conducted in the dedicated Yoga Pavilion, located on Morgan’s Rock’s pristine Ocotal Beach, surrounded by a unique 4500 acre protected primary dry forest environment that comprises the resort, providing the ideal setting for yoga and meditative retreat experiences.

The daily program will cover 8-days of personal, creative discovery including daily yoga and cultural experiences with time for relaxing by the pool or beach.  This program, which includes transfers from Managua, all meals, daily classes, a massage, local artisan and school tours, a boat trip and tree planting ceremony, costs $3995 (sgle), $3495 per person (dble).

Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge features fifteen hand-detailed private bungalows made of exotic tropical hardwoods with decks open to spectacular views of the ocean and forest and feature a king-size bed, a sofa bed, hammocks and an open-air shower. The restaurant, which features all local produce grown on the resort’s farm and fish caught by its own boats, overlooks a beautiful pool and the Pacific beyond.

Morgan’s Rock is easily reached by American, Delta, TACA and Continental who all fly to Managua with arranged transfers.
